Job Description
As a cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
What you'll be doing
Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising residents' rooms, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms
Replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels
Collecting and disposing of waste in accordance with infection control protocols
Washing, drying, ironing, and carefully returning residents’ clothing and linens
Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the facilities management team
Adhering to all health, safety, and quality standards within the facility
What you need to be successful in this role?
Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
Knowledge of infection control protocols and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
A current Police Clearance (less than 6 months)
Flexibility to work hours Monday to Sunday between 6am to 6pm, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed
It is recommended that you will have 2 COVID Vaccinations and an up-to-date Flu vaccination
